Write for us
Urban Weekly Briefing welcomes focused pitches about streets, public spaces, buildings, movement and the patterns of city life. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than a full unsolicited draft.
What we welcome
Pitch clear, evergreen ideas that help readers understand an urban place, design choice or everyday pattern. A strong proposal has a defined subject, a distinct question and a reason the topic matters beyond one passing trend. Explanatory, comparative, historical and observation-led approaches are all welcome when the scope is manageable.
What to include
Use the message to state your proposed title or subject, the central idea, the category it fits and what readers should understand by the end. Mention any relevant sources you expect to use and flag uncertainties or limits. Keep the pitch concise; do not send confidential material or claim access you do not have.
Editorial fit
We value precise, readable writing that separates evidence from interpretation and avoids sweeping claims about how every city works. We do not seek promotional copy, unsupported claims or advice that depends on professional assessment of a specific site. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
A city is more than its skyline
Its character is also made in the street, the threshold and the spaces between destinations. We look at those details without reducing a city to a checklist or a postcard.
